Venyou Craft Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here, under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Our registered details and the contact for data questions are on the Contact page.

• •Your email and name (from Google sign-in)
• •Your date of birth - so we know whether you are under 18 and can apply the protections described below
• •Your phone number
• •Your exam target and exam date
• •Your practice attempts, accuracy, timing, and session data
• •Concept cards, notes, uploads, and questions you save for revision
• •Your conversations with the question tutor and Ask Jarvis - the questions you ask and the replies you get
• •Subscription metadata if you upgrade (plan, status, renewal date, and Razorpay subscription/customer/order IDs)
• •AI feature usage counters (messages, test reports, solutions used this month) for billing and quota enforcement
• •Device and browser type (for error monitoring)
• •Recordings of your sessions on the site - see "Session recording" below for exactly what is and is not captured

• •Card numbers, UPI handles, or any payment instrument details - Razorpay handles these directly and we never see them

We use PostHog to understand which features are used and Sentry to catch errors. This tells us things like "how many students finished a test report", and it is never used for advertising.

Turn it off: Settings → Analytics has an On/Off switch. Turning it off stops both product analytics and session recording in that browser, immediately. It is per-browser, so set it on each device you use. You can also email info@jarvisos.net and we will exclude your account manually within 2 working days.

We record browsing sessions through PostHog and play them back to see how students actually move through the product - which options get clicked, where people hesitate, where a screen is confusing. We are telling you this plainly because most of our students are under 18 and a recording of your screen is not something that should be buried in a list.

What a recording captures: the pages you visit, what you click, how you scroll and navigate, and the layout of the screen as you saw it.

What it does not capture: anything you type - every input field is masked before the recording leaves your browser. Question text and answer options inside the test engine are masked. Your profile details and billing balances on the Settings and Billing screens are masked. Card and UPI details are never capturable at all, because Razorpay's checkout runs in a separate window we cannot see into. Masked content keeps its shape on screen but its text is replaced.

How to stop it: Settings → Analytics → Off. That switch stops recording immediately, in that browser. Recordings are held by PostHog under their own retention policy and are deleted when your account is deleted, on request to the address above.

These are our processors. Some are located outside India, so your data may be processed abroad; India permits this except to countries the government has restricted, and none of the below are restricted.

When you upgrade to Pro or buy a credit top-up, Razorpay collects and processes your payment instrument details on their own servers. We receive only the metadata needed to activate and manage your subscription - the Razorpay customer ID, subscription/order ID, payment status, and the amount and currency of the charge.

• •Your study data is kept as long as your account is active
• •Question-tutor conversations (the help you ask for beside a question while practising) are deleted automatically 90 days after they happen, whether or not the practice session they came from was finished
• •Photo doubts are deleted automatically 90 days after you raise them - the conversation and the photograph you uploaded with it, together
• •You can download or delete your data from Settings
• •Deleting your account removes it immediately, not on a schedule: your study data, cards, notes, tests, attempts, question-tutor conversations, photo doubts and uploaded images are erased in the same request, and your sign-in is deleted with them. There is no undo and no recovery window
• •Two things survive deletion, both because Indian tax and accounting law requires them: billing records (plan, payment and subscription IDs, amounts, and the email the payment was made under) and the record of any credit top-up you purchased

Jarvis is built for JEE and NEET aspirants, so a large share of our students are under 18. Under the DPDP Act, 2023 everyone under 18 is a child, and processing a child's data requires verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. We would rather tell you exactly where we stand than imply more than we do.

• •We ask for date of birth at sign-up so we know which accounts belong to students under 18
• •We do not serve advertising to anyone, and we do not do behavioural advertising or profiling for marketing purposes at any age
• •We collect only what the study platform needs to work
• •If you are under 18, you should use Jarvis with a parent or guardian’s knowledge and consent, and any paid plan is taken by them
• •A parent or guardian can ask us to access, correct, or delete their child’s data at any time, and we will action it

What we have not built yet: a verifiable parental-consent flow at sign-up. We are working on it. In the meantime, a parent or guardian who wants their child's account removed can email us and we will delete it, no questions asked.

• •Right to withdraw consent at any time - deleting your account withdraws it entirely
